Punjab State Power Corporation Invites Bids for 500 MW Solar Power Projects

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has issued a tender to procure 500 MW of solar power from projects across India. Bids are due by February 16, 2026, and will be opened on February 18, 2026.

Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of ₹1 million (~$11,083) and a bid processing fee of ₹300,000 (~$3,325). Successful bidders must provide a performance bank guarantee of ₹2.4 million (~$26,599) per MW prior to signing the power purchase agreement (PPA).

Each project must have a minimum capacity of 50 MW, with a maximum cumulative capacity of 250 MW. The PPA will be valid for 25 years from the project's supply commencement date. Bidders can utilize fiscal incentives including accelerated depreciation, concessional duties, tax holidays, and benefits from carbon credits. Only established technologies are permitted to ensure project completion.
