Q2 Metals Reports Promising Lithium Drill Results at Cisco Project in Quebec
Q2 Metals has announced drill results from its Cisco lithium project in Quebec, revealing 179.2 meters with 1.24% Li₂O. The resource estimate is anticipated in Q1 2026, with projections estimating 236 million tons at 1.39% Li₂O. This positions Cisco among the world's top five lithium hard rock projects, crucial for Western supply chains amid competition with Chinese entities in other regions.

Q2 Metals reported significant drill results from its Cisco lithium project in Quebec, with drill hole CS25-065 showing 179.2 meters at 1.24% Li₂O. This extends the mineralized zone northwards, suggesting a larger deposit than previously thought.
The first mineral resource estimate (MRE), expected in Q1 2026, could reveal 236 million tons with 1.39% Li₂O, marking Cisco as one of the world's largest lithium projects. Other major projects include Manono in the DRC, Greenbushes in Australia, Pilgangoora in Australia, and Goulamina in Mali, with significant Chinese involvement in several. Cisco's development is crucial for Western supply chains as it aims for production status with further results and a preliminary economic assessment planned for late 2026.
