Quantum Pleasants Completes Validation of Low-Cost Hydrogen Technology at Pleasants Power Station
Quantum Pleasants has completed a year-long evaluation of its Omnis Quantum Reformer® technology at Pleasants Power Station, achieving a 50% reduction in hydrogen fuel costs compared to other methods. This technology can generate hydrogen onsite for electricity production, with plans to convert the entire power station to hydrogen fuel within 24 months. The validation by independent experts confirms the technology's safety and economic viability, positioning Pleasants as a leader in clean power generation.

Quantum Pleasants announced the successful completion of validation testing for its Omnis Quantum Reformer® (OQR®) technology at Pleasants Power Station in West Virginia. This revolutionary technology produces hydrogen fuel onsite at a cost 50% lower than existing methods.
The OQR® has been rigorously evaluated and is poised to scale to supply hydrogen fuel for the entire 1,300MW plant. The technology has received validation from experts and is expected to enable a full conversion of the power station to hydrogen fuel within 24 months, making it the first large power plant to operate on 100% hydrogen. The project is set to create significant socio-economic benefits for West Virginia.
