Quonset Development Corporation and Green Development propose a 208MW lithium iron phosphate battery storage facility in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. If approved, it would be the largest in the state, surpassing the 3MW facility in Pascoag. The project requires relocating a fire station and includes a substation and underground transmission lines. Construction is expected to start in 2024 and finish by summer 2029, with a 25-year operational term. The project aims to enhance renewable energy use in Rhode Island.

Quonset Development Corporation (QDC) and Green Development LLC propose a 208MW battery storage facility along Callahan Road in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. This facility would be the state's largest, following the 3MW facility in Pascoag.
The project involves relocating a fire station and includes a substation and 2,500 feet of underground transmission lines. Construction is expected to commence in 2024 and conclude by summer 2029, with operations lasting 25 years.
The project aims to support Rhode Island's renewable energy goals and has completed necessary permit applications. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 28.
