Rajasthan Solar Park to Develop 2,450 MW Solar Projects with Battery Storage
Rajasthan Solar Park Development Co. Ltd has issued a tender for 2,450 MW of solar PV projects, incorporating 1,600 MW/6,400 MWh battery storage systems at Pugal Solar Park in Bikaner. The projects will operate on a build-own-operate basis, with 25-year power purchase agreements signed with local distribution companies. The tender is divided into two lots, allowing bidders to propose a minimum of 250 MW for LOT-1 and 225 MW for LOT-2, with a total cap of 1,225 MW across both lots.

Rajasthan Solar Park Development Co. Ltd (RSDCL) has issued a tender for 2,450 MW of solar PV power projects with 1,600 MW/6,400 MWh battery energy storage systems at Pugal Solar Park in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
Projects will be built on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Ltd (RUVITL) will sign 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (JVVNL), Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (AVVNL), and Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (JDVVNL) for successful bidders.
The tender is divided into two lots: LOT-1 includes 2,000 MW solar and 1,320 MW/5,280 MWh BESS, while LOT-2 includes 450 MW solar and 280 MW/1,120 MWh BESS. Bidders can bid for a minimum of 250 MW for LOT-1 and 225 MW for LOT-2, with a total maximum of 1,225 MW across both lots. The battery storage must primarily be charged from the solar plant.
