Rajesh Power Projects Private Limited signed a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for a 65 MW/130 MWh battery storage project in Virpore, Gujarat. The project will run for 12 years at a contracted tariff of ₹1.89 lakh per MW per month and is expected to be commissioned within 18 months.

It was awarded under GUVNL's competitive bidding process as part of the 'Request for Selection for setting up of Standalone BESS - Phase VII.' The initiative is supported by Viability Gap Funding from the Power System Development Fund to enhance grid-scale energy storage in India.
