RayGen Launches Hybrid Hydro System in Brazil with AXIA Energia
RayGen has deployed its first international project in Brazil, integrating concentrated solar power with energy storage. This marks a significant advancement in hybrid renewable energy technology, potentially influencing future energy solutions in diverse markets.

RayGen has implemented its PV Ultra system in Brazil, a 1 MW hybrid hydro system featuring concentrated solar power technology. The system integrates a heliostat field, receiver tower, and PV Ultra modules, enabling both direct solar electricity generation and thermal energy storage in two water pits.
The cold water pit is charged via an ammonia-cycle chiller, while the hot water is sourced from solar energy or a heat pump. This innovation is expected to enhance energy storage capabilities and support clean electricity generation aligned with market demand. The deployment at AXIA Energia's site in Petrolina will serve as a model for future renewable energy applications, particularly in powering AI factories.
