RCT GH GmbH (RCT Hydrogen) announced plans to start industrial-scale manufacturing of electrolysis systems in Germany in 2026. The company signed a cooperation agreement on December 22 with a production partner in Eastern Germany to produce electrolysis units with an annual capacity of up to 250 megawatts.

The first system, rated at 2.5 megawatts, is expected to go into production in the first quarter and be operational at a German industrial site. This initiative follows a memorandum of understanding signed in February 2025 between RCT Hydrogen, Siemens, and Chinese company Guofuhee for joint development of electrolysis projects.
