Recyclekaro Opens Rare Earths Research Centre in Maharashtra for E-Waste Recovery
Recyclekaro has launched its Rare Earths and Advanced Materials Research Centre in Wada, Maharashtra, aimed at enhancing the recovery of critical materials from e-waste and end-of-life batteries. The 5-acre facility plans to scale processing capacity to 20,000 metric tonnes for rare earths and will focus on research in rare earth recovery, advanced separation, and battery materials optimization. To support this initiative, the company will invest ₹500 crore by 2030 in research infrastructure and talent acquisition, contributing to India's mineral security.

Recyclekaro inaugurated its Rare Earths and Advanced Materials Research Centre in Wada, Palghar, near Mumbai, to enhance urban mining and critical material recovery from e-waste and end-of-life batteries. The 5-acre facility aims to optimize the extraction of critical and rare earth metals, with a goal to scale its processing capacity to 20,000 metric tonnes for rare earths.
The research agenda will focus on rare earth recovery, advanced separation, battery materials optimization, and scalable process development. To support this initiative, Recyclekaro will invest ₹500 crore by 2030 for developing research infrastructure and talent acquisition in materials science and related fields. The centre is expected to strengthen India's mineral security by improving recovery pathways and process efficiencies.
