Redstone Resources Advances Exploration at Tollu Copper Deposit in Western Australia
Redstone Resources focused on evaluating geochemistry results from drilling at the Tollu deposit in Western Australia during the December quarter. One drill hole revealed multiple lenses of copper mineralisation, including high-grade intersections of 1.8 metres at 2.5% copper and 4 metres at 1.3% copper, significantly deeper than previous assays.
The mineralising system appears to extend deeper than 800m, potentially linked to an underlying gabbroic intrusion. Geochemical analysis suggests cobalt may be present in sulphide form. Redstone aims to explore a Voisey's Bay style nickel-copper-cobalt deposit similar to BHP's Nebo-Babel deposit.
Plans include a reverse circulation drilling program funded by a $180,000 government grant and a deep diamond drilling program supported by a $220,000 EIS grant. The exploration will target magnetic anomalies northeast of Tollu and assess a large magnetic body identified in an airborne survey.
