Refresh Initiative in Birkenhead Shortlisted for National Environment Award
The Refresh initiative, funded by Magenta Living, is shortlisted for the Environment award at the Travis Perkins Managed Services Better Together Awards. The project rescues furniture from landfill, achieving over nine tonnes of intercepted waste in the past year. Winners will be announced on March 5, with a potential £5,000 grant to expand the project.

The Refresh initiative, based in Birkenhead and funded by Magenta Living, has been shortlisted for the Environment award in the Travis Perkins Managed Services Better Together Awards. This initiative aims to provide a circular economy solution by rescuing high-quality furniture from empty homes and redistributing it to residents in need.
The project has intercepted over nine tonnes of furniture from landfill in the past year. The award ceremony will take place on March 5, where a £5,000 grant from the Travis Perkins Legacy Fund will be awarded if the project wins, aiding its expansion.
