Regina City Council to Address Parking Meter Changes and New Joint Elementary School Plans
Regina's executive committee will discuss the removal of coin payments for parking meters as part of the 2026 budget, effective March 1. Proposed changes include increasing parking fines by $10 and setting meter rates at 50 cents per hour. Additionally, the city has updated its Water and Wastewater Master Plans, ensuring service delivery for the next 25 years. Regina Public Schools and Regina Catholic Schools are finalizing a site for a joint elementary school, with the Government of Saskatchewan contributing $4.55 million for servicing.

The city also updated its Water Master Plan and Wastewater Master Plan, outlining actions for the next 25 years. Recent projects include the Water Network Expansion and the replacement of over 1,000 lead service connections.
