Reliance and Samsung C&T Sign $3 Billion Agreement for Green Ammonia Supply
Reliance Industries Ltd. has entered a $3 billion long-term agreement with Samsung C&T Corp. for green ammonia supply, commencing in the second half of the fiscal year ending March 2029. This 15-year pact is one of the largest globally and supports India's goal to become a major exporter of green fuels.
The deal is part of Reliance's initiative to develop a new energy platform that includes renewable energy, energy storage, green hydrogen, and clean fuels. Central to this initiative is the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex in Gujarat, designed to manufacture solar modules and other clean energy technologies, aligning with the National Green Hydrogen Mission. Reliance aims for net-carbon zero operations by 2035.
