Rep. Jeff Bathke Announces Reelection Bid for South Dakota House District 20 Amid Deployment
Rep. Jeff Bathke has announced his reelection bid for South Dakota House District 20 while currently deployed as command sergeant major of the 650th Regional Support Group. His legislative priorities include property tax relief, funding for education and health care, and continued prison reform, building on his previous support for veterans and emergency services. District 20 includes Jerauld, Sanborn, Miner, and Davison counties.

Rep. Jeff Bathke is seeking reelection to District 20 in the South Dakota House of Representatives. He serves as command sergeant major of the 650th Regional Support Group and is currently deployed, missing the 2026 session.
Bathke has completed two deployments in Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, and Jordan. His legislative priorities for the upcoming session include property tax relief, data center development, funding for education, state employees, health care providers, and continued prison reform.
Bathke has previously supported funding for 911 services, agricultural drainage, veterans headstones, and the state Veterans Cemetery. District 20 encompasses Jerauld, Sanborn, Miner, and Davison counties.
