Repair Cafe Wales Achieves One Million Kilograms CO2 Emissions Saved Through Repair Initiatives
Repair Cafe Wales has successfully saved over one million kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions, equivalent to a petrol car traveling 11.2 million miles, thanks to an investment of approximately £14 million from the Welsh Government's Circular Economy Fund. This initiative has led to the establishment of over 130 repair cafés across Wales, where skilled volunteers promote a culture of repair and reuse. The effort aligns with the Beyond Recycling strategy, which aims to enhance Wales' recycling initiatives and supports various community reuse projects.
