Repsol Sells 49% Stake in Spain Renewables to Masdar
Repsol is set to divest a 49% stake in its largest renewable asset portfolio in Spain to Masdar, valued at approximately €850 million. This transaction reflects Masdar's ongoing strategy to enhance its presence in the Iberian renewable energy market.

Repsol has agreed to sell a 49% interest in its renewable assets in Spain to Masdar for around €850 million ($996 million). The portfolio includes 706 megawatts of capacity from 13 wind farms and six solar farms, with the deal expected to finalize soon.
This move follows Masdar's recent acquisitions in Spain, including Saeta Yield for $1.4 billion in 2024, a 49.99% stake in an Endesa solar portfolio, and a partnership on a $1.2 billion green hydrogen initiative. The increasing collaboration between Masdar and Spanish firms may signify a broader trend in renewable energy investments in the region.
