RIVSAL Holdings Inc Joins Greentown Labs to Advance Water-Powered Energy Technology
RIVSAL Holdings Inc, a Houston-based renewable energy startup, has partnered with Greentown Labs to advance its E1 Powerplant technology, which generates electricity using water. Operating from Greentown's Ion District facility, RIVSAL plans to begin demonstrations of its technology on February 2, 2026, aiming to provide industrial and commercial businesses with sustainable on-site power generation. Founded in 2025 and part of Rice University’s Rice Nexus program, RIVSAL focuses on delivering zero-emission energy solutions with predictable costs.

The company will operate from Greentown's facility in the Ion District, relocating its prototype there for further advancement.
Demonstrations of the E1 Powerplant will begin the week of February 2, 2026. RIVSAL's technology aims to provide industrial and commercial businesses with continuous on-site power generation, eliminating reliance on batteries or hydrogen storage.
The company, part of Rice University’s Rice Nexus innovation program since November 2025, seeks to attract customers for testing its technology. Founded in 2025, RIVSAL specializes in sustainable energy solutions that offer predictable costs and zero emissions.
