Rock Tech Lithium and BMI Group Form CAD $200 Million Partnership for Lithium Converter Development
Rock Tech Lithium and BMI Group have established a CAD $200 million partnership to develop the Red Rock lithium converter in Ontario, enhancing local lithium processing capabilities. This investment strengthens North America's critical minerals supply chain and reflects growing transatlantic cooperation in resource management.

Rock Tech Lithium and BMI Group are advancing the Red Rock lithium converter project in Ontario with a CAD $200 million investment. The partnership will be structured with Rock Tech as the general partner, maintaining operational control while BMI Group serves as the anchor investor.
An initial funding of up to CAD $30 million will support site development and a feasibility study, with matched contributions from both partners and government programs aimed at finalizing an investment decision by the end of 2026. The partnership leverages Rock Tech's Guben Converter design, enhancing project viability and reducing risks. The Red Rock site, strategically located near existing infrastructure, will bolster Canada's critical minerals processing capacity, aligning with North American supply chain goals.
