Rocket Lab Secures NASA Launch Contracts Amid Revenue Surge
Rocket Lab has been selected by NASA for three Electron rocket launches, enhancing its position in the space industry. The company's revenue grew 63.5% to over $200 million in Q1 2026, with a backlog of contracts exceeding $2 billion.

Rocket Lab (NASDAQ: RKLB) has received a contract from NASA to conduct three Electron rocket launches for two missions. This follows a recent successful tactical response mission for the Space Force. In Q1 2026, the company reported a revenue increase of 63.5%, totaling just over $200 million.
The Space Systems segment has outpaced the launch business, with over $2 billion in contracts in the backlog. Rocket Lab plans to introduce reusable medium-lift rockets, Neutron, by late 2026, which will compete with SpaceX's Falcon 9. While Rocket Lab is not yet profitable, the anticipated success of Neutron could lead to financial stability and growth.
