ROHM Develops Compact 100V MOSFET for AI Servers and Industrial Equipment
ROHM Co., Ltd. has introduced the RS7P200BM, a 100V power MOSFET in a compact 5.0mm x 6.0mm package, designed for hot-swap circuits in AI servers with 48V power supplies and for industrial equipment requiring battery protection. The demand for improved power efficiency in AI technology has increased the need for power MOSFETs with wide safe operating area (SOA) tolerance.
The RS7P200BM features a low on-resistance of 4.0 milliohm and maintains a wide SOA of 7.5A at 10ms pulse width and 25A at 1ms under 48V conditions. This combination enhances power supply efficiency, reduces cooling loads, and lowers electricity costs. ROHM aims to expand its range of power devices for 48V systems, addressing the needs of data centers and various industrial applications.
