Romanian EMISAR Satellite Launch by SpaceX on March 30
The EMISAR satellite, developed by a Romanian consortium, will be launched by SpaceX to enhance secure data transmission and environmental monitoring.

SpaceX will launch the Romanian EMISAR satellite on March 30 via a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base as part of the Transporter-16 mission. This satellite, developed by a consortium led by the INFPLR state research institute, aims to facilitate secure digital data transmission between remote locations, storing data until it reaches its destination.
EMISAR also enables monitoring of various terrestrial processes and environmental conditions. Prior to launch, the satellite underwent testing by the European Space Agency and SpaceX. EMISAR is categorized as a low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite, marking the first Romanian development in this category, which offers cost advantages over geostationary satellites.
