Rosenberger OSI Implements Scalable Colocation Data Center for Avacon Group
Rosenberger OSI has developed a flexible passive IT infrastructure for a new colocation data center in Sehnde, Germany, with an investment of approximately 40 million euros. The facility, covering 2,000 square meters, is designed to accommodate up to 28,000 servers, addressing the needs of clients requiring high data security and availability.

The newly constructed data center in Sehnde, Germany, features a scalable cabling infrastructure designed to adapt to varying client demands. Utilizing the PreCONNECT SMAP-G2 system, the flexible design supports both fiber and copper cabling, allowing for modular expansions.
The facility includes advanced climate control, fire protection systems, and 24/7 monitoring for operational safety. It is powered entirely by renewable energy and integrates sustainability measures, such as a photovoltaic system and a green facade. The emphasis on flexibility and future-proofing aligns with the needs of colocation clients, especially those managing critical infrastructure.
