On February 21, the Rotary Club of Alameda and Community Action for a Sustainable Alameda (CASA) planted 22 trees at Leydecker Park in collaboration with 100K Trees for Humanity and the Alameda Recreation and Parks Department. Volunteers from the community assisted in planting and caring for the trees, which are expected to provide long-term environmental benefits.

CASA received a Rotary grant in 2025 for tree funding, supplemented by contributions from Rotary District 5170 and Alameda Municipal Power. The Rotary Club will also host a lithium-ion battery recycling event on May 16 at Alameda City Hall Plaza.
