Royal Antwerp Aviation Club Enhances Fleet with Sustainable Aircraft
The Royal Antwerp Aviation Club has added a Robin DR400 155CDI aircraft to its fleet, enhancing sustainability efforts. This acquisition reduces noise emissions significantly, benefiting local residents and aligning with regional aviation goals.

The Royal Antwerp Aviation Club (RAAC) has incorporated a new Robin DR400 155CDI aircraft to modernize its fleet, which now includes three aircraft under five years old. The 2021 model produces 5.2 dB less noise compared to the older Piper aircraft it replaces, addressing community concerns near Antwerp Airport.
Established as Belgium's first flight school in 2006 to utilize Jet A1 fuel, the club is exploring electric aviation as a future option. With over 200 members and 25 student pilots, RAAC is poised to support sustainable aviation initiatives, as highlighted by Antwerp Airport's endorsement of this investment.
