Rs20 Billion Sewerage Project in Toba Tek Singh by 2027
The Punjab Development Programme aims to provide universal sewerage coverage in Toba Tek Singh by June 2027 with an investment of Rs20 billion. This initiative is part of a broader Rs45 billion development strategy that includes various urban improvement projects across the district.

The Rs20 billion Punjab Development Programme is set to upgrade sewerage infrastructure in Toba Tek Singh, with completion targeted for June 2027. Alongside this, Rs45 billion is allocated for 50 projects under the District Annual Development Program, and an additional 40 schemes are being executed under the CEP program.
Key initiatives include the construction of model villages and bazaars, urban beautification, and a wastewater treatment plant in Kamalia. The divisional commissioner emphasized strict adherence to timelines and quality standards for all projects, citing zero tolerance for transparency issues.
Authorities were directed to enhance recreational spaces in parks, accelerate recovery of government dues, and improve healthcare facilities at the District Headquarters Hospital. Maintaining high sanitation standards across the city is also a priority.
