RWE Reports 22% Drop in 2025 Profit; Unveils €35 Billion Expansion Plan Focused on Gas Generation
RWE AG reported a 22% decrease in net profit for 2025, totaling €1.80 billion, as electricity margins normalized. The German energy company outlined a €35 billion expansion plan centered on gas generation, with nearly half allocated to the U.S. The adjusted EBITDA fell to €5.1 billion, while onshore and solar energy revenues rose to €1.74 billion. RWE aims for an adjusted EPS of €4.40 by 2031 and proposed a dividend of €1.20 per share for 2025, marking a €0.10 increase.

RWE AG announced a 22% decline in net profit for 2025, reaching €1.80 billion, as electricity margins returned to normal. The company's adjusted EBITDA decreased to €5.1 billion. The decline was primarily driven by the Flexible Generation segment, which reported an adjusted EBITDA of €1.41 billion.
Onshore and solar energy revenues increased to €1.74 billion, while offshore wind revenue fell to €1.49 billion. RWE plans a €35 billion investment, with €17 billion aimed at the U.S. market, and proposed a €1.20 dividend per share for 2025.
