The RECLAIM project, led by the Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components at RWTH Aachen University, aims to develop sustainable battery recycling technologies to reduce the demand for primary resources. Funded by North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, the three-year project collaborates with Fraunhofer FFB, MEET Battery Research Centre, Cylib, and No Canary.

Its primary focus is on delamination, a method for directly recovering valuable materials from end-of-life batteries without chemical breakdown. The project will evaluate the effectiveness of various methods and materials for industrial recycling applications, contributing to a more sustainable European battery value chain.
