SABIC AN Shifts to Conventional Ammonia-Urea Complex in Jubail
SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company has changed its production plans in Jubail, moving from a blue ammonia project to a conventional ammonia and urea facility. The Ministry of Energy approved feedstock allocation for the new complex, which will produce 1.2 million metric tonnes of ammonia and 2.6 million metric tonnes of urea annually. This shift will raise urea production capacity by 54%. SABIC AN reported revenues of SAR 13.08 billion in 2025, an 18% increase from the previous year.

SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company (SABIC AN) has revised its plans for a new production complex in Jubail Industrial City, switching from a blue ammonia project to a conventional ammonia and urea facility. The Ministry of Energy has approved feedstock allocation for the new facility, which will produce 1.2 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTA) of ammonia and 2.6 MMTA of urea.
This change increases urea production capacity from 4.8 MMTA to 7.4 MMTA, a 54% increase. SABIC AN's revenue for 2025 was approximately SAR 13.08 billion, up 18% year-on-year, with net profit rising to SAR 4.32 billion.
