Saint Peter City Council Approves Funding for New Solar Array at City Hall
The Saint Peter City Council approved $141,180 in grant funding for a solar array at the new city hall, capable of producing 39.9 kW. Funding sources include $100,926 from Minnesota's Solar on Public Buildings Grant and $43,254 from the Federal Solar Investment Tax Credit. The project aims to enhance sustainability efforts, contributing to the city's goal of being 80% carbon-free by 2030. Construction is expected to begin after spring thaw and be completed by fall.
