Samsung Launches Mass Production of PM1763 SSD for AI Infrastructure
Samsung Electronics has commenced mass production of the PM1763 SSD, designed for AI and HPC applications, featuring PCIe 6.0 technology. This move addresses the increasing demand for enterprise SSDs capable of high-speed data transfer and reliability in AI workloads.

The PM1763 SSD is now in mass production, tailored for next-generation AI and high-performance computing environments. It offers capacities of 4TB, 8TB, and 16TB, with the 16TB version achieving read speeds of up to 28,400 MB/s and write speeds of 21,900 MB/s, more than doubling the performance of its predecessor.
The drive integrates Samsung's 9th-generation V-NAND and a 4nm controller, enhancing both performance and power efficiency by 1.8 times. Optimized for liquid-cooled servers, the PM1763 supports sustained peak performance under heavy workloads. Additionally, it features strengthened security through post-quantum cryptography and TEE Device Interface Security Protocol, addressing increasing security requirements in AI.
