San Antonio Pursues Hydrogen Energy Investment Following Nagsasa Seep Discovery
San Antonio plans to develop investment opportunities in hydrogen energy, leveraging the Nagsasa Seep's annual 808-ton output. The region aims for sustainability and large-scale energy production through natural hydrogen resources.

San Antonio, Zambales, aims to attract investments in hydrogen energy, leveraging the Nagsasa Seep, which emits over 800 tons of natural hydrogen annually. Mayor Arvin Rolly D. Antipolo highlighted the potential for establishing a hydrogen power plant, following the awarding of petroleum service contracts to two other areas by President Ferdinand R.
Marcos Jr. Antipolo anticipates further discussions on investment opportunities in mid-May with First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos. Natural hydrogen, produced through geological processes, offers a clean, low-cost energy alternative, potentially rivaling green hydrogen. This initiative could significantly impact local energy production and sustainability efforts.
