Sand Springs City Council Recall Attempt Concludes Without Success
The recall effort against the Sand Springs City Council has failed due to insufficient verified signatures. This outcome reflects community support for the council amidst opposition to a proposed data center project.

The recall initiative targeting half of the Sand Springs City Council has been deemed unsuccessful, as the group Stop the Sand Springs Data Center did not submit enough verified signatures. Each ward required signatures from 20% of qualified voters, but the effort fell short across all wards.
City Manager Mike Carter confirmed the group's concession following the failure. Despite the recall's lack of success, he noted that the city remains committed to addressing community concerns regarding the proposed data center, referred to as 'Project Spring,' in collaboration with developers including Google.
