Sansone Group Withdraws from Data Center Purchase of Toyota Land in Michigan
Sansone Group has canceled its plan to acquire over 400 acres from Toyota for a hyperscale data center in York Township, MI. This decision halts a potential investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure, raising questions about future development strategies in the area.

Sansone Group has withdrawn its purchase agreement for 412 acres of land from Toyota in York Township, Michigan, which was intended for a hyperscale data center. The announcement was made by township Supervisor Dave Ludwig after Toyota notified officials of the withdrawal at the end of March.
The property, zoned for research and agricultural use, is adjacent to Toyota's R&D headquarters. Previously listed at over $22.6 million, the site is now being discussed for alternative developments, including mixed-use options or light industrial projects. York Township has also implemented a six-month moratorium on data center proposals to establish appropriate regulations, which may impact future development plans.
