Santa Fe to Upgrade Security with AI-Enhanced Video Surveillance System

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

The provincial authorities will hold a bidding event for the Lince video surveillance system in Santa Fe, aimed at modernizing and expanding the public security camera infrastructure. The official budget is U$S 32,143,664.88, with an operational deadline of eight months.

The new system will integrate 600 existing cameras with 2,000 new cameras and advanced artificial intelligence (AI), along with upgrades to the main Data Center. This system will feature a similar operational model to that in Rosario, with specialized police units overseeing both cities.

The project includes installing 1,850 fixed cameras and 150 domes, distributed primarily in Santa Fe, along with new fiber optic networks connecting 500 monitoring points to the Data Center. Existing systems will be updated, including a unique alert system and the implementation of AI software for real-time alerts and forensic analysis. The project also includes electrical and data upgrades to support the expanded infrastructure and a maintenance service for 24 months.
