Santa Rosa County Initiates Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant
Santa Rosa County has begun construction on the Milton Interchange Park Wastewater Treatment Plant, with a capacity of 500,000 gallons per day. This facility is expected to enhance local economic growth and environmental sustainability through recycled water production and wetland management.

The construction of the Milton Interchange Park Wastewater Treatment Plant commenced on April 8. The plant will feature an initial capacity of 500,000 gallons per day, facilitating recycled water for irrigation and managing unused water through an on-site infiltration wetland.
The project is funded by a $30.2 million loan from the Milton Interchange Park enterprise fund and $988,650 in design services from Jacobs Engineering, sourced from the general fund. This facility aims to bolster economic growth and job creation in Santa Rosa County, reflecting the proactive vision of local officials.
