SANY Group Invests Over EUR 1 Billion in Hybrid Power Project in Romania
SANY Group, through its Singaporean subsidiary, is set to invest over EUR 1 billion in a hybrid energy project in Romania, marking the largest of its kind in Europe. This initiative includes two solar parks, a battery energy storage system, and a data center.

SANY Group's Singaporean subsidiary is partnering with Danube Solar Seven to develop a hybrid energy project in Romania valued at over EUR 1 billion. The project includes two solar parks, each with a capacity of 800 MW, and a battery energy storage system (BESS) with a capacity of 2.34 GWh, as well as a data center designed for a maximum load of 70 MW.
The total investment for the solar parks is estimated at EUR 320 million, located in Uivar commune, Timiș county. The BESS and data center are valued at EUR 350 million each and will be constructed near Timișoara.
The solar panels will be sourced from SANY's factory in Hunan province, China. This project could significantly enhance Romania's renewable energy capacity and position in the European market.
