Sarens Enhances Johor Data Center Construction to Meet Growing Demand
Sarens is executing hoisting operations for the Falcon Data Center in Johor, Malaysia, which will host 60% of the nation’s data processing capacity by 2030. Malaysia's data center capacity is projected to increase from 1,025 MW in 2025 to 2,100 MW by the end of 2026, with Johor contributing significantly to this growth.

Sarens selected an SCX 2500 LF crawler crane for its lifting operations, capable of handling up to 150 tons. The crane was efficiently transported and assembled on-site without delays. The data center market in Malaysia is forecasted to grow from $4 billion in 2024 to $13.6 billion by 2030, driven by increasing demands for cloud services and AI applications. Sarens has previously contributed to major infrastructure projects in the region, enhancing its role in Malaysia's industrial landscape.
