Saudi MH-60R Fleet Achieves 10,000 Flight Hours, Enhancing Maritime Security

On July 15, 2026, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces reached a milestone of over 10,000 flight hours with their MH-60R Seahawk helicopters, indicating improved maritime combat readiness and effective U.S. Navy training involvement.
This achievement includes over 4,300 flight hours and 3,200 simulator hours from training conducted at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, illustrating a deep operational capability development. The MH-60R serves key roles in anti-submarine warfare and surface defense, equipped with advanced sensors and AGM-114R Hellfire II missiles.
The U.S. Foreign Military Sales program, initiated in July 2015, facilitated the delivery of ten helicopters and extensive training, enhancing the RSNF's operational sustainability. This development underscores the evolving U.S.-Saudi defense relationship, promoting regional maritime security and interoperability.
