Scale 42 has proposed to reserve 126 hectares in Kristinestad for a data center, with the option to extend this reservation for an additional year. The preliminary plan for the total area of 285 hectares is nearing completion, after which detailed planning will commence.

Following the completion of the plan, Scale 42 may lease or purchase industrial land under a separate agreement. The initial project aims for a data center with a capacity of 100 megawatts, which could grow to 250 megawatts by 2029, with future scalability anticipated. The company is described as a developer and operator of next-generation data centers.
