Schleswig-Holstein Allocates €1.6m for Hydrogen Expansion in Mobility
Schleswig-Holstein allocates €1.6m to enhance hydrogen production, aiming to meet rising clean fuel demands. The initiative supports local refuelling stations and integrates waste heat into district heating.

The German state of Schleswig-Holstein has authorized €1.6m in funding for a new 2MW electrolyser aimed at increasing hydrogen production to support local mobility. This project, managed by eFarming at the Bosbüll site, will expand annual green hydrogen output from 36.5 to 180 tonnes, supplying eFarming-operated refuelling stations in Husum and Niebüll.
This initiative aligns with Germany's broader strategy to enhance hydrogen infrastructure in response to escalating clean fuel demand. Strengthening local production capabilities may mitigate reliance on external energy sources amid geopolitical tensions.
