SchneiTec Launches Cambodia's Largest Battery Energy Storage System in Pursat Province
SchneiTec has launched Cambodia's largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 1,000 megawatt hours at its solar farm in Pursat province. This project is the first of its kind in Cambodia and aims to enhance energy stability, improve electricity supply reliability, and support the country's goal of 70% clean energy by 2030.

SchneiTec has launched a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Pursat province, Cambodia, with a total capacity of 1,000 megawatt hours. This initiative marks the largest and first BESS in the country, aimed at improving energy stability and reducing electricity supply disruptions.
The project will store excess renewable energy from solar and wind, making it available at night and decreasing reliance on fossil fuels. It supports Cambodia's goal of achieving 70% clean energy by 2030 and positions the country as a leader in advanced grid technology within ASEAN.
