Scioto County Commissioners are negotiating a tax abatement package with a major technology company looking to establish a data center in Green Township. The proposed agreement includes a 75% tax abatement for 15 years once the company constructs a building on the property, while the company will pay 100% of the taxes until construction begins.

The project is expected to create 50 jobs. A decision on the tax abatement package is scheduled for a meeting on January 22.
