Scotland has received £1.7 million in funding to enhance the offshore wind workforce. This investment aims to create a robust skills pipeline essential for the projected 49,000 jobs in the sector.

The Scottish Government has announced a £1.7 million funding initiative to bolster offshore wind skills development. This investment supports three projects, including a regional skills hub for the Highlands and Islands and training programs at North East Scotland College.
The Scottish-Irish Offshore Wind Internship Pilot will provide 20 paid internships for students, funded by both governments and the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS). The initiative is expected to attract additional private investments and facilitate job creation in the offshore wind industry, crucial for Scotland's energy and economic plans.
