Scotland-Taiwan Research Grant Programme to Foster Collaboration
The Scotland-Taiwan Research and Innovation Workshop Grant Programme offers up to £10,000 to facilitate workshops aimed at enhancing collaboration between Scottish and Taiwanese researchers. Workshops are set to occur in Taiwan between 2026 and early 2027, with a focus on fields such as Green Energy, AI, and Advanced Manufacturing.

The Scotland-Taiwan Research and Innovation Workshop Grant Programme provides funding of up to £10,000 for bilateral workshops aimed at fostering research collaboration between Scotland and Taiwan. These workshops, which may span up to six months, must occur in Taiwan from 2026 to early 2027 and are open to all academic disciplines.
Eligible participants include mid- to senior-career researchers from Scottish institutions partnering with Taiwanese counterparts, with a maximum of three PhD students allowed per team. The programme, co-funded by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in Taiwan and the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE), encourages joint funding opportunities and exchange of knowledge. The focus on Green Energy, AI, Robotics, and Advanced Manufacturing highlights its commitment to addressing global challenges and enhancing innovation.
