Scottish and Danish Firms Collaborate on Environmental Solutions in Space Sector
Five Scottish space-data companies have partnered with Danish firms, supported by a £150,000 grant from Scottish Enterprise, to develop innovative environmental solutions. This initiative follows the Space Scotland Nordics Summit held in Denmark in March 2024, aimed at fostering collaboration between industry, government, and academia. The Scottish space sector is rapidly expanding, with goals to create 20,000 jobs and contribute £4 billion to the economy over the next decade through international partnerships.

Five Scottish space-data firms are collaborating with Danish partners to develop environmental solutions through a £150,000 Scottish Enterprise Innovation Challenge. This initiative emerged from the first Space Scotland Nordics Summit held in Denmark in March 2024, which gathered 50 stakeholders to discuss collaboration opportunities.
The project targets key innovation challenges and aims to penetrate new markets. The Scottish space sector is projected to create 20,000 jobs and add £4 billion to the economy in the next decade, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration for achieving these goals.
