Sedalia City Council Approves Wastewater Treatment Plant Design Agreement
The Sedalia City Council has authorized HDR Engineering to design improvements for the central wastewater treatment plant, part of a $60 million project initiated in early 2024. This aligns with new regulations from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, indicating a significant upgrade in municipal infrastructure.

The Sedalia City Council approved a design agreement with HDR Engineering on April 6 for enhancements to the central wastewater treatment facility, which is part of a broader $60 million initiative. Additionally, the council authorized nearly $68,943 for a replacement pump and motor for a water well.
An annual appropriation of $140,000 for the Sedalia-Pettis County Economic Development Corporation was also approved. The council accepted bids for fire protection services and approved a $47,522 bid from Ideal Fire Services to replace the municipal building's fire alarm system. Repairs to West 16th Street are expected to be completed by the end of the month following a water main break.
