Seojin System Expands ESS Manufacturing with U.S. Facility Amid 1.8 Trillion Won Sales Forecast
Seojin System, known as the 'Foxconn of the ESS industry,' is expanding its manufacturing capabilities with a new factory in Texas, U.S., expected to begin operations in March-April. The company specializes in Energy Storage Systems (ESS), producing a 20-foot model that contains around 10,000 battery cells, capable of storing 5 megawatt-hours (MWh) per unit.
With operations at full capacity in Vietnam, Seojin is fulfilling resumed orders from U.S. clients after previous tariff issues. The company achieved estimated sales of 1 trillion won last year, with ESS contributing 37% to total sales.
Securities firms project 2025 sales to reach 1.8 trillion won. Seojin also manufactures semiconductor equipment and plans to enter the robot foundry market, leveraging its in-house production of core components.
