Shahberi Substation Energised to Support 8,000 Consumers Amid Heatwave
The newly energised Shahberi substation is set to enhance power distribution for approximately 8,000 consumers, addressing rising demand during a heatwave. Built at a cost of Rs 12 crore, it will alleviate load pressure previously managed by a distant substation.

The Noida power department has activated a new 33/11 kV substation in Shahberi, benefiting around 8,000 consumers. Constructed at a cost of Rs 12 crore, the substation began operations on May 22, 2023, following its construction start in February 2023 and subsequent testing completed by May 20.
The new facility, featuring two 10 MVA transformers, aims to improve reliability in power supply and distribution, addressing increased electricity demand during the ongoing heatwave. This infrastructure development is critical for managing demand effectively and enhancing consumer satisfaction in the region.
