Shakti Pumps Wins ₹155.24 Crore Order for Solar Water Pumps in Maharashtra
Shakti Pumps has secured a ₹155.24 crore order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for 6,580 solar water pumps. This project, part of the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, aims to enhance solar energy use in agriculture.

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has been awarded a contract worth ₹155.24 crore by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for the installation of 6,580 off-grid solar water pumping systems across Maharashtra. The project, aimed at promoting solar energy in agriculture, includes pumps with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP.
The execution is expected to be completed within 60 days following the Notice to Proceed. Shakti Pumps will manage the entire project lifecycle, from design to commissioning. This contract underscores the company's growing influence in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar-powered irrigation solutions, which are critical for agricultural sustainability.
