Shaw Group Expands Walker Facility, Creating 209 New Jobs in Louisiana
The Shaw Group is expanding its Walker manufacturing facility, creating 209 new jobs while retaining 165 existing positions. The average salary for the new positions is $62,831, which is 40% above the average wage in Livingston Parish.
Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will generate an additional 288 indirect jobs, totaling 497 new job opportunities in the Capital Region. The facility supports major industrial projects in power generation, oil and gas, and data centers.
Hiring is set to begin immediately as Shaw Group recruits skilled professionals. The expansion is supported by a competitive state incentive package, including workforce development solutions from LED FastStart and participation in Louisiana's High Impact Jobs program.
